Christopher Newman is a highly acclaimed film producer and assistant director, known for Games of Thrones, Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, Love Actually, The Remains of the Day, and many more.
Christopher has won many awards for his work in films including 6 Primetime Emmy awards and received the Outstanding Achievement Award at the Indie Short Fest and IndieX Film Festival. Christoper is well familiar with producing projects of the fantastic genre and we couldn't be more excited to have him on board! Christopher Newman will be attending our amazing festival in October!
Inga Lísa Middleton, artist and director, was trained in photography, film, and animation at the Royal College of Art and the University of the Arts Farnham. She has a prestigious career in stills photography, advertising, portraiture, and art photography and has successfully written, directed, and produced television series, short films, and commercials. Her short films have won numerous international awards and her animated film “A Fairy Tale of Our Time” was selected for the main competition at the Cannes Film Festival.
Inga Lísa has served as a jury member at several international film festivals such as Sitges Fantasy Film Festival, Cairo International Children’s Festival, and Oslo Animation Festival. Inga Lísa will be attending our amazing festival in October!
Erlingur Óttar Thoroddsen is an award-winning filmmaker born and raised in Reykjavík, Iceland, and a graduate from Columbia University's MFA Film Directing Program. Erlingur’s films have been screened at various international festivals such as South By Southwest, Outfest, BFI London Film Festival, Fantastic Fest, Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival, and Screamfest in Los Angeles.
Erlingur’s second feature film, RIFT, premiered as the Closing Night Film at Gothenburg Film Festival in 2017 and has screened at over 40 festivals since then, as well as being awarded Artistic Achievement at the 2017 Outfest Film Festival.
In 2019, Erlingur wrote the Blumhouse slasher film, Midnight Kiss, co-produced by Hulu. After that, he returned to Iceland to adapt and film COLD, an adaptation of Yrsa Sigurdardottir’s best-selling thriller “The Undesired.” COLD premiered in September 2023. Erlingur has also written and directed THE PIPER, produced by Millennium Media, which will premiere at Screamfest in October 2023
