From Fairy Tales to Nightmares - Special Premiere & Panel!

The festival commemorates H. C. Andersen on the 150th anniversary of his passing with a special Sunday program celebrating his legacy in the world of the fantastic. Andersen’s tales of wonder, darkness, and humanity have inspired countless filmmakers & writers of the fantastic genre.

Premiere / Adorable Humans (2025) / Attending the screening are Michael Panduro and Michael Kunov, two of the film’s four directors.

A four-part anthology film inspired by some of Andersen’s most haunting horror tales.

A conversation exploring the influence of Icelandic literary heritage on Andersen’s storytelling and consequently, how his storytelling continues to shape modern fairy tale and horror in cinematic storytelling.
